“NO REQUESTS, DO I LOOK LIKE A JUKEBOX TO U?!”
.
.
I know there are times u wanna say that everytime u get a song request 😂, but do u know that they are there to have a good time and they depend on U, the life of the party?
.
Let’s go back to the main objective of a DJ: To rock the crowd, give them a good time. .
Would u like it if u can make the crowd love ur song selection with less effort? And u dont even have to figure out, what works and what dont. These requests are basically insider tips on what songs will get them wild! .
Especially when u travel to another country, different crowd have different tastes and preferences, u need to find out in advance what is big in that respective area. That way u will get less requests, because u know what they like.
.
I understand, some requests are annoying AF. U dont have to entertain every single one of them.
.
There are a few ways to handle requests with grace.
1) Somebody turns up at the console an show u on his phone the title of the song: Just give a thumbs up.
2) There are people who keeps on going to you and bug u, just act busy and pretend to look for the song. 😄
3) DJs dont usually like to repeat, if u were asked to do so, try to play a different version of the song, a remix or sumthing.
.
There are times that u cant avoid the requests, my advice is just play it. UNLESS, its a ridiculous request. Its a matter of give and take.
.
Just remember this, the crowd loves u. So we try to show love back to the crowd. ✌
